Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars -- Initial Impression.

For the third time in a year I'm going to be returning to Liberty City. Only this time it's going to be via the Nintendo DS and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars. The game is a return to the overhead camera style of the Grand Theft Auto titles on the original PlayStation. Much like most of the world, my first visit to Liberty City happened with Grand Theft Auto III on the PlayStation 2. I have never played the original PlayStation titles. So this will be new for me. I'm actually expecting the full on modern Grand Theft Auto experience. Everything that the series is known for, only shrunk down into Nintendo DS 3D. I'm really hoping the controls and the overhead perspective work well. I'm hoping the DS touch screen gimmickry doesn't feel tacked on. I hope the story is as involved as the series has become known for. Only time will tell.
